Please Note - Main road to Observatory (Harvey Lane) has now been reopened
Leaving Norwich along the A146, (Trowse bypass), you will pass under the Norwich Southern bypass. After 200 yrds, turn right onto the B1332 (Norwich to Bungay road) Follow this road through Poringland and the edge of Brooke. The next village after Brooke, Kirstead, is now bypassed. Do not take the road signposted KIRSTEAD-SEETHING to your left just before the end of the bypass.
The road you want, Harvey Lane is about 100 yrds after the bypass finishes, just after the bus-stop layby and just before the woodland on the left hand side. It is signposted to SEETHING OBSERVATORY AND INDUSTRIAL ESTATE. Continue down this twisty and rather narrow road for just over a mile. You will come to a cross-roads. Go straight over into Toad Lane.
You will pass the old USAF Airfield control tower on the left. The observatory is about 100 yrds, further on the left.
